OUR PURPOSE "Hundreds of homes could soon land on the fairways and greens of North Shore Golf and Country Club" stated the surprising headlines of the Tacoma News Tribune on Friday, January 26, 2007. The Save NE Tacoma Coalition formed soon there after. The Coalition realized that this development would impact everyone one in NE Tacoma, Browns Point, Dash Point and the Twins Lakes Neighborhood of Federal Way. We range from engineers, sales professionals and home makers; all with the common goal to save our quality of life. As your volunteer advocates, we pool our talents and brainpower to research the issues, educate our elected officials, and raise funds for the neighborhood's legal defense in order to save our quality of life. The City accepted the developer’s application under the previous municipal codes because they rushed to file the application minutes before the deadline. Although the application is deemed complete, we expect that environmental, school, traffic and other impact studies are required from various agencies before the developer can proceed. Our intention is to monitor all proceedings pertaining to the application review process to ensure that all requirements are fully and completely complied with. We will provide input at all public hearings and challenge each and every attempt by the developer to evade critical issues. It is also our intention to see that the existing covenants and the original conditions of the approval of the North Shore planned residential district requiring that the golf course remain open space in perpetuity be honored. | LEADING THE FIGHT - OUR LAWYER
